Man Utd could sell outcast to top four rivals
Loaned-out Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson has emerged as a possible summer transfer target for Tottenham.
The 26-year-old has spent this season with Premier League newcomers Nottingham Forest, making 20 appearances in all competitions before picking up an injury which has sidelined him since mid-January.
Even once he returns to fitness, Henderson faces stiff competition between the sticks following the loan arrival of Keylor Navas from PSG – so it’s possible that he has played his last game for Forest.

As things stand, Henderson is set to return to Man Utd at the end of the current campaign – but whether he stays at Old Trafford for 2023/24 remains to be seen, especially with David de Gea negotiating a new contract.
Back in August, it seemed as though he might have burned his bridges with Man Utd: in an explosive interview with talkSPORT, Henderson accused his parent club of “criminal” treatment, alleging that they reneged on a promise to make him their first-choice ‘keeper.
Now, The Athletic have suggested that the England international – who our Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) rates at €19.3m (around £17m) could be an option for Spurs as they look to replace the fading Hugo Lloris.

Having started out with Carlisle United, Henderson ultimately came through Man Utd’s youth system and made his first-team debut in a League Cup tie away to Luton Town in September 2020.
He’s made 29 appearances for Man Utd in all competitions, featuring 13 times during the 2020/21 Premier League campaign under Ole Gunnar-Solskjaer – but he has spent most of his career so far away from Old Trafford, notably helping Sheffield United to promotion from the Championship in 2018/19 then a ninth-placed top-flight finish the next season.
Henderson won his sole England cap to date in a November 2020 friendly against the Republic of Ireland; he was included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for Euro 2020 but later had to withdraw due to injury.
