Man Utd takeover ‘in limbo’ after Qatar bid
The Manchester United takeover is in ‘limbo’ and that’s having a knock-on effect for the club, fears some fans.
The Glazer family put the club up for sale in November, saying that they were inviting offers. But the process since then has been slow - with the transfer window for the summer set to open on June 10.
There are concerns that any new owners would not be able to take the reigns to bring in their own players.
Some have even argued that the state of things, being so in limbo, has even unsettled matters on the pitch, with Man Utd losing an important game in their quest to secure top-four this season against Brighton 1-0.
The Glazers have been at the helm for 18 years - they have been criticised for not investing in infrastructure, such as the training ground and Old Trafford, while the club sits around half-billion in debt.
Among the frontrunners to take over the club are Sir Jim Ratcliffe, considered Britain’s richest man, who is asking for a 50% stake - and Qatari Sheikh Jassim.
There have been three rounds of bids, and supporters are furious with how the Glazers have been dragging their heels.
Glazers out
This takeover process has just put everyone in limbo. The manager, players, targets and fans. All because of Glazer greed.

It's now hindering summer transfers. Alexis MacAlister is in talks with Liverpool so that's 1 potential signing gone. And players like Rashford are delaying new deals because they don't know who the owners will be and what's on offer in terms of project and salary

The club continues running as normal there's no excuses not to be working on transfer deals let's not start giving them excuses to fall back on

Not surprised at all to be honest.

It’s not just their greed but also the length of time they take to make decisions. They do it deliberately to show their false sense of power. They don’t ever realise how much these things hurt the club.
