EXCLUSIVE: West Ham eye former Man Utd keeper David de Gea
West Ham have sounded out David De Gea over a possible return to Premier League life, FootballTransfers has been told.
The former Manchester United goalkeeper is currently looking at options in Spain but we have been told that West Ham have spoken to his side regarding an 18-month deal in the January transfer window.
Their current keeper, Lukasz Fabianski, wants to leave the London Stadium during this point while Alphonse Areola has had a big offer from an unnamed club in Saudi Arabia.

De Gea left Man Utd after his contract ran down. He and the club were in talks over fresh terms but ultimately could not come to an agreement so he left the club as a free agent over the summer.
De Gea returned to Manchester
The veteran goalkeeper still remains without a club after 12 seasons at Old Trafford and was recently spotted back in Manchester.

De Gea was seen in attendance for Man Utd Women's Champions League debut at Leigh Sports Village where Marc Skinner's side faced Paris Saint Germain.
His public appearance in the city coincided with calls for Man Utd to re-sign him following the torrid start to Red Devils life for Andre Onana, who was bought in as his replacement. The former Inter man has been feeling the brunt of criticism for his errors in a few of Man Utd’s games this season, particularly in the Champions League, with some believing that the club’s new keeper has not lived up to De Gea’s shot-stopping ability.
De Gea uploaded an Instagram story with his feet crossed outside a tennis court, tagging his location as Manchester. It is thought that had returned to the city to clear out his house in Hale, just outside the city of Cheshire.
