Liverpool face fresh test in pursuit of Pedro Neto
Liverpool will face a test in securing the signature of Pedro Neto as Newcastle have entered the race, according to reports.
FootballTransfers revealed the Reds’ interest in the Wolves winger last week, but now the Magpies have come into the equation, suggests a report from TeamTalk.
The publication states that Eddie Howe is hoping to bolster the right flank in the upcoming window, with Jacob Murphy and Miguel Almirion being his only outlets there at the moment.

Howe decided not to bring in a right-winger during the summer window and instead opted to bring in Harvey Barnes from Leicester, who operates on the left side by cutting inside on his preferred right foot.
Neto is enjoying a brilliant start to the season for Wolves, piquing the interest of many top sides in the Premier League.

Neto’s fine form this season for Wolves
The 23-year-old is a client of Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute, too, meaning entry into certain elite sides, such as Barcelona and Liverpool, shouldn’t be a problem. Neto is expected to part ways with Wolves in 2024 and it is believed that Mendes is confident that he can secure a move from the Midlands club, who value him at around £50million.
Neto, who joined Wolves in 2019 from Lazio, has taken a while to adapt to life in England having been hampered by injuries.
But Neto has featured in seven Premier League games so far this campaign, with a goal contribution rate of five.
The youngster is under contract at Wolves until 2027 but there is every chance the club will be tested in the January transfer window, with the likes of Arsenal also linked with a move for him.
