'SACKED in the morning' - Fans react to Man Utd's horror half against Newcastle
Manchester United fans have had their say after their team endured a horror first half against Newcastle in the Carabao Cup.
"Sacked in the morning! You're getting sacked in the morning!" This was the chant of Magpies supporters after Miguel Almiron had given their side the lead at Old Trafford.
It was a goal symbolic of Man Utd's season so far. Tino Livramento looked to be outnumbered yet he still easily managed to win the ball back for Newcastle. He proceeded to simply run away from summer signing Mason Mount - who is looking more and more like a flop - before playing in Almiron.

Shortly after the Newcastle fans sang their song aimed at under-pressure Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag, Chelsea loanee Lewis Hall made it 2-0 with a hit-and-hope strike from outside the box.
After a 3-0 derby defeat to Man City, Man Utd put in yet another uninspired performance and were duly booed off the pitch by their gobsmacked supporters at half time against Newcastle.
Here's what the people of X, formerly known as Twitter, had to say...
I’m sorry but i think that’s it.

The difference in work ethic between both sides is astronomical.

Don’t see Ten Hag turning this around. Looks as defeated as the players out there. Unorganized, out of ideas, out of confidence, and sooner than later, out of time.

Erik ten Hag doesn’t have a clue.
The players are lost.
The leaderships at the club went to the store to go and get milk.
It’s real bad at Man Utd and it’s only going to get worse, it is what it is.— . (@tsnmknd) November 1, 2023
