The Brazilian midfielder has been one of the best players in his position in the Premier League this season.

The 25-year-old has an impressive six goals and three assists in 20 Premier League games in 2023-24.

His brilliant form has played an important role in Villa challenging at the top of the table, as they currently sit in third position.

Such has been Luiz’s form that he has been heavily linked with a transfer in 2024 to both Man Utd and Arsenal.

FootballTransfers has reported on Arsenal’s interest in the player for several months now, but we understand that Villa have set an astronomical price in order to sell the player.

According to our sources, the Birmingham side are demanding a whopping £110 million (€128m) for Luiz's services, eclipsing the £105m Arsenal paid for Declan Rice in the summer.

But United legend Keane believes he is worth every penny and that his former club should go for him.

What did Keane say?

“Quality player. I like him.” He said on Sky Sports.

“I think he was linked with Arsenal last year. There are no surprises there, with some of the Villa players, you think they can certainly go on to play for a Man United, Arsenal or even Man City, you look at Watkins.”

United have made the signing of a top midfielder one of their priorities in 2024.

Casemiro is starting to show his age as he approaches 32 and will likely be sold either this month or in the summer.

Sofyan Amrabat has disappointed since his arrival from Fiorentina, while Scott McTominay continues to divide critics.

Big summer signing Mason Mount has been a huge flop so far.
