Ten Hag shows his love for Rashford after Man City wondergoal

Erik ten Hag displayed his admiration for Marcus Rashford after the Man Utd attacker scored a wonder-goal in the Manchester Derby.

Rashford broke the deadlock at the Etihad with a sensational strike fron outside the area, receiving the ball from Bruno Fernandes before lashing in an unstoppable shot off the bar.

As Rashford raced off in delight, the camera moved towards Ten Hag and the Dutchman was certainly delighted.

Ten Hag raised both hands into the air to celebrate what will go down as one of the goals of the season and one of the best of Rashford’s career.

It was a welcome gesture from Ten Hag as there have been numerous reports in recent weeks of a very difficult relationship between the manager and the attacker.

Indeed, things really came to a head last month when Rashford missed training after having spent the night before on a night out in Belfast.

Rashford has had a difficult season this term but provided one of the best moments of the Premier League season in the Manchester derby on Sunday.

Rashford missed two more decent chances to double the lead, while Erling Haaland squandered an open goal chance, as Man Utd went into the half-time break leading 1-0.

The game was a must-win match for United, who are well off the pace and risk missing out on Champions League qualification as they struggle in sixth place.
