EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal make medical assessment of Neto before placing transfer bid
Arsenal will undertake a medical assessment of Pedro Neto before deciding whether to make a push for the Wolves attacker, FootballTransfers can reveal.
The winger has been on Arsenal's radar for some time and we are told he is massively admired by Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal were told by Wolves in January that they wouldn't sell him for any less than £80 million - but now that valuation is £43m, according to sources close to the Gunners.

However, his injury history has made the Gunners cautious about pursuing a deal without a thorough data assessment and now Arteta is awaiting the latest reports on Neto to determine his fitness and long-term viability.
If the Portugal international is deemed fit, Arsenal could accelerate their efforts to secure his signature.
It's thought that his addition would bring dynamism to Arteta's attacking options, potentially complementing the likes of Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
On the other hand, if Neto's medical update raises concerns, Arsenal will look to alternative targets.
Arsenal look to bolster wing
The club has a shortlist of forwards they are considering which includes Spanish international Nico Williams, the Athletic club winger who is also liked by Chelsea.

Williams has a €55m (£46.5m) release clause inserted in his deal and has caught Arsenal’s eye after netting eight goals and providing 19 assists in 37 appearances last season.
This data update on Neto is crucial for Arsenal's summer transfer strategy. It will significantly influence their decision on which winger to buy.
Neto scored two goals in 20 Premier League matches during the 2023/2024 season, with one goal at home and one away. He averages 0.12 goals per 90 minutes. Additionally, Neto had a total of 11 goal contributions last season, resulting in him being amongst the most wanted Premier League players this summer.
