Chelsea face an important summer in the transfer market as they look to improve their squad further and appoint a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino.

The Argentine joined the Blues last summer, however he lasted just 11 months in charge and left by mutual consent on 21 May after a post-season review meeting.

The Blues subsequently announced on 3 June that Enzo Maresca will be their new manager.

Although Todd Boehly has overseen a spend of more than €1 billion on new players since arriving at the club in 2022, there has been no success to show for it, with the Stamford Bridge outfit finishing 12th in his first campaign as owner and sixth in 2023-24.

However, Chelsea continue to target a raft of promising young players, despite the evident need for more experience in the dressing room.

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen initially headlined Chelsea’s summer transfer targets, but the Blues are also looking at alternatives, and many other deals could well be completed in a bid to get their squad into shape.

In addition, they are also looking to sign a new centre-back following the confirmation that Thiago Silva will be leaving, while a deal is in place to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao for an initial €40 million.

Our Chelsea transfer live blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Blues, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

The Blues are expected to see several players come and go, and the Stamford Bridge rumour mill is already in full swing.

FOUR Premier League sides in for Delap

The Daily Mail reports that Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool have joined Man Utd in the battle for Delap.

Joao Felix will be moved on this summer

Chelsea have no intention of keeping Joao Felix this summer.

The Portugal international signed for the Blues on a permanent basis from Atletico Madrid ahead of the 2024/25 campaign but was loaned out to Milan in January for a disastrous few months.

MAJOR new club in for Huijsen

Bayern Munich are preparing a bid for Dean Huijsen.

The Spain defender has been a revelation at Bournemouth this season and could be available this summer for around £50 million - a fee which has catalysed interest from a number of elite clubs.

Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd have all been credited with an interest in addition to Bayern, who will produce a five-year deal offer to the player's representatives soon. (El Nacional)

MAJOR target hands in transfer request

Chelsea are now on alert as Jamie Gittens has reportedly handed in a transfer request at Borussia Dortmund.

The winger was a hot property in the January transfer window due to his early-season form with BVB, but his performances have dropped off a cliff in the second half of the season.

He allegedly wants a change of scenery and the Blues have previously been credited with an interest, but Dortmund's 'dream' fee for the player is €100 million (Sky Germany)

Sancho decision to be made next month

Chelsea will decide in May whether to sign Jadon Sancho permanently or allow him to return to Man Utd.

Nkunku's days at Chelsea numbered?

Christopher Nkunku provided another lacklustre Premier League performance at the weekend and was hauled off at half-time by Enzo Maresca in the draw against Brentford.

Some fans have speculated that it was the final nail in the coffin for Nkunku, who is expected to leave Stamford Bridge this summer. On Nkunku's performance, Maresca told reporters:

"It's just a game, not a lack of effort. I see Christo every day and it is working well. Sometimes he wants to do more during a game and struggles a little bit. But I don't think it's a lack of effort."

The player was strongly linked with Bayern Munich in January, but was forced to stay at Chelsea after Joao Felix departed for Milan on loan.

Osimhen future revealed

Victor Osimhen is more likely to move to the Saudi Pro League than the Premier League this summer, reports David Ornstein of the Athletic.

The Nigeria forward is currently on loan at Galatasary from Napoli and is expected to leave Naples on a permanent basis this summer. Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have all been linked with a move for Osimhen, but the fee and wages included in any potential deal means Saudi clubs hold the advantage.

“There seems to be a consensus among PL clubs that [Osimhen’s] most likely destination is Saudi Arabia,” Ornstein wrote. “Part of that will be down to the affordability of his wages. But let's see.”

Endrick included in Enzo deal?

Enzo tipped for Madrid switch

Enzo Fernandez has previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but it looks like Atletico Madrid may be an option for the player, too, according to Javier Saviola.

“Enzo is a star. What he's gained now is his physicality; he's evolved a lot," the Argentine told Mundo Deportivo.

“When I first saw him at River Plate, he was a technically very gifted, spectacular player, but now he's added power, mileage, and a lot of aggression. He's tireless and very complete. He would be a great fit for Atlético de Madrid. He's one of those players Cholo Simeone likes, one of those he works with. He's a phenomenon.”

Fernandez would reportedly cost at least €100 million.
