The insane money behind Mbappe's Real Madrid move
Real Madrid clinched their 15th European title on Saturday, marking their sixth in 11 years.
But with the imminent move of Kylian Mbappe to the Santiago Bernabeu, they must be thinking just how they can push it now.
The superstar has left Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent to join arguably the biggest team in the world. Indeed, Los Blancos once again demonstrated their dominance on the continent - and now they are set to add the world's most electrifying forward.

It’s been a long time coming; 12 years, in fact, since a young Mbappe was first invited to Madrid, chauffeured by Zinedine Zidane and photographed with Cristiano Ronaldo. Him finally joining the world’s elite club seemed inevitable, even in the face of a number of false dawns.
You can’t get much of a Galatico than Mbappe. He is PSG's record goalscorer with 256 goals since he joined them from Monaco on an initial loan in 2017.
And for the Spanish champions, he fits the bill on many levels, only no mammoth transfer fee has been forthcoming to PSG. Instead, it will be mostly put towards his wages.

How much will Kylian Mbappe earn at Real Madrid?
So how much is Mbappe expected to make?
As per BBC Sport, the 25-year-old will get a base salary of €288k per week, in a contract spanning five years.
It appears relatively modest from the outset, but what makes the numbers up - significantly - is the huge signing on fee of €150 million, to be paid over the course of his deal.
It works out as €576k per week or €30m per year. If we include his base salary, the entire wage comes to €864k per week or €44m per season, with a grand total of €220m to be paid to the World Cup winner from the summer until 2029.
