The Red Devils had made a slow start to the summer transfer window but have really sprung into action in recent hours.

United are in advanced talks to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, with the Red Devils set to pay the €40m clause in the Dutchman’s contract.

In defence, United are currently working on signing two central defenders.

The first is Everton star Jarrad Branthwaite. United tabled a new bid this week of €59m which has been rejected by Everton.

The Goodison Park team are asking for €77-83m to sell the player, and negotiations will now continue.

Finally in midfield, United are in talks to sign PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

According to reports, United have made an offer of €40m for the Uruguayan with PSG asking for €60m. It is possible that the two sides could meet in the middle.

So, in total United will surpass the €200m mark with these four transfers alone.

United are set to be very active in the summer transfer market as they look to reestablish themselves as a major force in English and European football.

It has now been 11 years since United won the Premier League and they finished in eighth position in the table last season.

Erik ten Hag survived the sack as manager, though, after leading United to FA Cup glory.

A number of big names will leave the club also this summer, including Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

Marcus Rashford’s future has also been in doubt.
