Sancho stalling on Juventus as he waits for DREAM move

Jadon Sancho is stalling on a potential move to Juventus as he holds out hope a deal can be reached with Chelsea.

Man Utd's Jadon Sancho is surplus to requirements at Old Trafford and the Red Devils have been trying to offload him this summer.

A deal was seemingly agreed between United and Italian giants Juventus, but Sancho has yet to give his final okay to the move as he prefers to join Chelsea.

Maresca wants Sancho?

New Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has signed plenty of players this summer, but he did nothing to play down the rumours that Sancho is wanted in West London.

"If we have to sign a player just for signing, I don’t want it," Maresca said at a press conference.

"But if we can sign a player who can help us, for sure I want it. I know Jadon very well from many years with [Manchester] City. I know him very well. But he is not our player. We will see what happens."

A Sterling Swap?

The Blues have their own transfer issues as they try to force a sale for Raheem Sterling who is part of a 20+ man cadre of unwanted players at Stamford Bridge that are so vast in number that they train apart from the main squad of players.

Sterling was the initial point of contact for between the clubs, and a swap deal was proposed where the two Premier League giants would trade England internationals with each other.

The Italian Option

That move has yet to materialise but Sancho remains keen on a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of what was expected to happen; a sale to Italian giants Juventus.

Thiago Motta's revolution is well underway in Turin and they have started the season with consecutive 3-0 wins, and they wanted to add Sancho to bolster their ranks (presumably to provide competition to Kenan Yildiz at no. 10).

But despite progressing on a deal with United, an initial loan with a purchase option, Sancho's preference for staying in London has handed the advantage back to Chelsea.
