CONFIRMED: Wolves and Nottingham Forest battle for Fluminense midfielder Andre
Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among the sides looking at Fluminense midfielder Andre, FootballTransfers can confirm.
The Brazil international is being eyed as a cheap option ahead of the summer window closing later this week.
Manchester United had been scouting Andre but have since left the table after they agreed a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain. We reported previously how Wolves are stepping up their pursuit - but now Forest have entered talks as well.
Earlier this month,we broke the news that a move to Fulham had broken down this window. Sources claimed at the time that the 23-year-old is still hopeful of a Premier League switch.
We understand that a deal for Andre would be worth somewhere between €25 million and €30 million but it's possible now that it would be at an even cheaper rate.
Fluminense are yet to receive any proposal for the player, though Premier League clubs remain keen on the youngster.

Andre's Premier League switch
Andre was linked to Liverpool last summer but a move never materialised. West Ham launched a proposal at the time, but it was knocked back by Fluminense.
Fulham had put a lot of legwork in signing Andre and he was believed to be their replacement for Joao Palhinha, who left for Bayern Munich this window for €51m.
But the club left the table after failing to reach an agreement with Fluminense.
Despite his young age, Andre has played 175 matches in all competitions for Fluminense, scoring four goals. FootballTransfers' Estimated Transfer Value algorithm ranks him at €6.2m, with his contract up at the Maracana Stadium December 2026.
