'Thank you for believing in me' - Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates another HUGE landmark
Cristiano Ronaldo has humbly recognised his fanbase after the former Real Madrid attacker reached one billion followers on social media.
The Portuguese superstar boasts an impressive social media presence, with now over 100 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), as well as a staggering 600 million on Instagram.
He recently launched a YouTube channel, which now has 60 million subscribers. On Facebook, Ronaldo commands an audience of more than 170 million followers.

Ronaldo posted on X, announcing he had reached one billion followers in total. He touched on his upbringing in Madeira to becoming one of the footballing greats.
"We’ve made history — 1 BILLION followers! This is more than just a number - it’s a testament to our shared passion, drive, and love for the game and beyond.
"From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stages in the world, I’ve always played for my family and for you, and now 1 billion of us stand together.
"You’ve been with me every step of the way, through all the highs and the lows. This journey is our journey, and together, we’ve shown that there are no limits to what we can achieve.

Ronaldo started at Sporting Lisbon, before playing for Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, back to Old Trafford, and his current club Al-Nassr.
The 39-year-old reached his 900th career goal while playing for Portugal last week.
Ronaldo hits out at Ten Hag again
It comes after Ronaldo took aim at Erik ten Hag after the Dutchman admitted his team cannot win the Premier League.
"The coach, they say they cannot compete to win the League and Champions League," he said.
"(As) Manchester United coach, you cannot say that you're not going to fight to win the League or Champions League.
"You have to be, to mentally say, listen, maybe we don't have that potential, but I cannot say that. We're going to try. You have to try."
