Man Utd star's brother gives Ten Hag assessment after Twente draw
The brother of Alejandro Garnacho has defended Erik ten Hag after the Manchester United boss came under criticism following his side’s disappointing 1-1 home draw against Twente in the Europa League.
Twente scored a second-half equaliser to hold United to a second successive draw after the Red Devils failed to score in goalless affair at Crystal Palace last weekend.
United had a combined 34 shots in both games but only scored though Christian Eriksen’s opener against Twente, with the likes of Bruno Fernandes and Joshua Zirkzee missing a host of chances.

The result led to growing frustrations from supporters due to United’s slow start to the season but Garnacho’s younger brother, Roberto, posted on social media that Ten Hag should not be to blame for his players missing chances.
“Btw you all blame ten hag, but 11 United players level not being able to smash them at home, I don’t think that’s on Ten Hag mate,” Roberto Garnacho posted on Twitter.
“Same last game btw, dominated but couldn’t score a goal, somehow last week it was the winger fault, this one Ten Hag’s…”
Garnacho wanted Ten Hag to 'leave him alone'
The defence of Ten Hag from his brother on social media may perhaps indicate Garnacho’s feelings to his manager, whom he is believed to have a close relationship with.

Garnacho was given his breakthrough at Old Trafford by Ten Hag and the 20-year-old has quickly become a favourite of the Dutchman, playing in 36 of United’s 38 games last season.
The Argentine was also preferred to Marcus Rashford against Palace, having grabbed three goals and three assists in all competitions so far this season.
However, Garnacho appeared dismissive of Ten Hag as he was brought on as a substitute against Twente, with former Dutch legend Ruud Gullit commenting after the game that the player just wanted his manager to ‘leave me alone’.
“He wanted to have a meeting with Garnacho, but he didn’t feel like it at all,” Gullit said on Dutch outlet Ziggo Sport. “Garnacho was preparing to come on and Ten Hag kept talking to him.
“You can just see it when a player thinks: “Leave me alone, man!"
