Ole’s return? Solskjaer talks with major club CONFIRMED
Could Manchester United be getting ready to welcome Ole Gunnar Solskjaer back to the Old Trafford hotseat in place of the under-fire Erik ten Hag? It seems improbable, yet the former Red Devils boss is in talks with a “major club”, according to reports in Denmark.
Solskjaer took charge of Man Utd from 2018-2021 until he was ultimately sacked to pave the way for Ralf Rangnick taking over on an interim basis before the reign of Ten Hag.
The Norwegian has not worked in football since, and though he has been associated with a number of jobs, he has yet to take any of these up.

The latest post the Solskjaer has been linked with to take command of the Denmark national team, yet he has knocked this back for an intriguing reason.
Tipsbladet says he was approached over the role but rejected it.
“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is in negotiations with a major club about a head coaching job, and he therefore did not want to enter into a job interview with Peter Moller and DBU,” the Danish report says.
Who will be Man Utd’s next manager?
Solskjaer, 51, is not seriously being considered to take charge of Man Utd should Ten Hag leave – at least he is not among the favourites for the post.
Some reports indicate that Ineos likes the idea of former England boss Gareth Southgate taking command of the Old Trafford side, yet he distanced himself from the role, stating that he wanted a year out of the game to recover.
Thomas Tuchel is another name that is frequently linked to taking the Man Utd reins from Ten Hag, who has led the club to their worst-ever start in the Premier League.
FootballTransfers understands, however, that the Red Devils’ long-term goal is to groom Ruud van Nistelrooy to take charge of the first team, yet that depends on the former striker showing a willingness to step into the high-profile job – something that may not necessarily appeal to him.
