Fabrizio Romano CONFIRMS Man Utd's transfer plans
Manchester United are planning on signing a new left-back in 2025 following Ruben Amorim’s arrival as head coach.
Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia have both struggled with injury problems over the past 12 months and the Red Devils are looking to address this by purchasing a left-back next year.
Diogo Dalot and Lisandro Martinez deputised in that role under Erik ten Hag during the early weeks of the new season, but Amorim is eager to sign a specialist in 2025 as he looks to stamp his authority at Old Trafford.

The Portuguese tactician, who will take charge of his first Man Utd game against Ipswich Town on 24 November, is expected to deploy a 3-4-3 system during the early weeks of his Old Trafford reign and the lack of a suitable left wing-back has been highlighted as an issue.
As a result, Man Utd will prioritise upgrading their options in that area of the pitch in 2025.
Bayern Munich superstar Alphonso Davies has been heavily linked with a free transfer move to Man Utd next summer, while Alvaro Carreras could re-join the club following his switch to Benfica in July.

However, Man Utd’s first-choice left-back target is currently Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez, as exclusively revealed by FootballTransfers.
The Hungary international is being monitored by the Red Devils hierarchy and a move to Old Trafford is on the cards in 2025.
What has Fabrizio Romano said?

“The club is already assessing options with more than 3 candidates in [the] list.
“It only remains to be seen whether it’s gonna happen in January or [the] summer window (most likely).”
