Hojlund breaks slience on Amorim appointment
Rasmus Hojlund has opened up to the Danish media about the recent appointment of Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Following Erik ten Hag’s exit, the Premier League giants were quick to approach Sporting CP boss Ruben Amorim about taking over the role from the Dutchman.
A compensation package was agreed and the 39-year-old was announced as the new United head coach in the following days, though he will not officially take the dugout until November 11.

United fans were in awe on Tuesday night as Amorim led Sporting CP to a huge 4-1 Champions League victory over Manchester City, to give Pep Guardiola's side his third consecutive defeat.
Viktor Gyokeres scored three goals during the contest, bringing his tally to 23 goals in 17 games in all competitions. Amorim has already said that he will not be looking to sign any Sporting CP players in the January window but there are suggestions that Sweden international could be a target for the future.

He was asked about the incoming head coach to Denmark’s Viaplay recently, in an interview relayed by Tipsbladet “I’m really looking forward to it. Good ideas. I have seen how they play. I have spoken to Morten (Hjulmand, Sporting midfielder) about it, and he is also very satisfied with the coach, so I am really looking forward to him setting foot here.”
“From what I’ve seen so far, it’s a three-back chain, and it might be a little different from what I’ve been used to in the past. So it will be exciting to see how he will implement his ideas, and I am very much looking forward to working with a young and ambitious manager.
“I think it is only good. He has an understanding of what the new, modern football is like. I don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing that he is young. On the contrary, it might even give something extra.”
