Portuguese media CONFIRMS Man Utd move for Gyokeres
Portuguese newspaper Record reports that a summer bid from Manchester United for Viktor Gyokeres is “guaranteed”.
United’s hiring of Ruben Amorim as their next manager means that it is certain that the Red Devils will also move for Gyokeres.
Amorim played a crucial role in developing Gyokeres into one of the most wanted strikers in the world.

The 39-year-old coach will thus request that United make a bid for Gyokeres at the end of the season, with Record stating that a move will not come during the January transfer window.
However, Record also adds that currently Gyokeres does not consider Man Utd as a good next step for his career.
The struggles of the club in recent years mean that Gyokeres will need some convincing to accept any offer from United, especially as he is likely to receive bids from many other major clubs.

Gyokeres is the hottest striking property around right now and has made an incredible start to the new season, already scoring 16 goals in 15 games in all competitions.
This follows on from his brilliant form from last season for Sporting where he scored 43 goals in all competitions for his club.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona are also very interested in Gyokeres.
Gyokeres has a €100 million release clause in his contract and is expected to be sold by Sporting at the end of the 2024-25 season.
Gyokeres in 2023-24
Gyokeres scored a sensational 43 goals in 50 games in all competitions for Portuguese champions Sporting last season.
His 29 league goals meant he finished the season as Primeira Liga top scorer.
Gyokeres has been a revelation ever since joining Sporting Lisbon from Coventry for €20 million plus €4m in bonuses in the summer of 2023.
He is well on his way to replicating his numbers of last season in the current campaign with 16 goals already in all competitions.
