Man Utd learn Ederson price as transfer plans made clear
Manchester United have discovered the price tag of their Atalanta target Ederson.
According to reports, the Red Devils are on the lookout for another central midfielder. They believe that the Serie A man would make a great addition to Ruben Amorim's system.
That's what Sky Germany are reporting anyway. Their chief reporter Florian Plettenberg has provided details about United's transfer plans concerning the 25-year-old.

He wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter: "Once again been told that #Ederson is one of the few names Manchester United are seriously considering for the central midfield position.
"Some decision-makers are fully convinced of his abilities. However, there is not yet a complete consensus within the club. For this reason, there are no concrete negotiations at this stage. But #MUFC have gathered all the necessary information and have scouted him multiple times. Contract with Atalanta until 2027. Price valuation. €50-60m."
Who is Ederson?
United bought Manuel Ugarte over the summer and they have the likes of Kobbie Maninoo. But Casemiro is on a high wage and is way past his prime. He will need replacing in the coming years, maybe even next.
In this regard, Ederson ticks a lot of boxes. He functions mostly as a box-to-box midfielder - he has fierce tackling and pressing, and superb stamina that sees him cover lots of ground and never stop running.
He played a key role in Atalanta winning the Europa League last season and he produced a world-class performance in the 3-0 thrashing of Bayer Leverkusen in the final.

Indeed, it's been widely reported Atalanta would be prepared to sell Ederson at the end of the season if their valuation of €60m is met.
Atalanta generally sell one big-name star each year, with Teun Koopmeiners sacrificed this past summer to Juventus for over €60m.
The feeling is that Ederson could be the next player to be sold for big money.
Ederson joined Atalanta from Salernitana in 2022 and has gone on to make over 100 appearances, scoring 10 goals.
