Outspoken former Italy, AC Milan, Inter and Roma star Antonio Cassano has blasted Rafael Leao once again after his poor performance at the weekend.

Cassano has become infamous in recent years for his verbal attacks on certain players and figures in the game, in particular Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Rafa Leao.

The former Italy attacker has regularly slammed Leao, with the pair continuously engaging in a tit-for-tat battle in the media and over social media.

Leao labelled Cassano a clown on social media after he helped inspire Milan to a 3-2 win over rivals Inter in the Italian Super Cup final in Riyadh last week.

Cassano had criticised Leao despite the Portuguese lighting up the final to overturn a 2-0 deficit.

"Leao once again proves that he doesn't have the balls because he goes to the national team and speaks from a distance, and now he’s even talking about Conceicao. I’m saying this after he played a good game, but over time, Conceicao will realize that Leao is a fake player, a 0-0 level player, like Antony Martial,” Cassano had said.

“Neither meat nor fish. He doesn't know how to play as a team, can't make the final pass, doesn’t see the goal, there’s nothing special about him.

Leao responded with two clown emojis on a quote tweet of Cassano’s comments, as seen below.

After Milan could only manage a 1-1 draw at home in their next game on Saturday against relegation-threatened Cagliari, Cassano went on the offensive again.

What did Cassano say?

“I say again that Leao has no balls,” Cassano roared.

“It’s easy for him to reply after the Supercoppa but then against Cagliari he was terrible again.

“[Milan manager] Sergio Conceicao will realize that he’s not a good player.

“He makes €8m per season but he can’t pass a ball and he scores few goals. Let him focus on his rapping career, it’s better.”

Cassano was referring to Rafa Leao’s rap career, which saw the attacker bring out an album Beginning under the alias Way 45.
