Chelsea given HOPE in Alejandro Garnacho pursuit
Chelsea have been handed an unlikely boost in their pursuit of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho.
The Argentina international has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford departure during the January transfer window and Chelsea have lodged a formal enquiry to sign the 20-year-old before Deadline Day.
Napoli are also seriously interested in landing Garnacho this month, following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain, and they have already agreed personal terms with the Man Utd star.

Antonio Conte’s side have submitted a €45 million offer in a bid to sign the Argentine in January, although Man Utd are currently holding out for a fee of roughly €77m (£65m), as per The Daily Mail.
The Red Devils are open to the idea of selling Garnacho this month, if their asking price is met, and they would prefer to offload him to a foreign club, rather than to a Premier League rival.
However, TyC Sports have revealed that Garnacho would rather remain in England than leave for a club in Europe.
Chelsea are yet to submit a formal offer for the 20-year-old, but they are expected to lodge a bid over the next few days, while their hopes of landing Garnacho have increased tenfold following news that he currently favours an extended stay in the Premier League.

Alejandro Garnacho to leave Man Utd?
Garnacho has registered 23 goals and 14 assists in 118 first-team appearances for Man Utd, although the club could be forced to sell him in order to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.
The Argentina international, who has registered eight senior caps for his country, has three-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at Old Trafford, while his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) stands at €37.1m.
In addition to Garnacho, Chelsea are also interested in signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens and Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel amid Mykhailo Mudryk’s provisional suspension following a positive doping test.
