Ruben Amorim: 'Everybody at Man Utd is too comfortable'
Ruben Amorim has admitted that “everybody at Manchester United is too comfortable” following his side’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Goals from Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo helped the Red Devils end a run of four consecutive losses in all competitions, but Amorim’s side could easily have secured victory at Anfield.

Amad, Rasmus Hojlund and Harry Maguire all missed guilt-edged chances against Arne Slot’s high-flying Reds, while Matthijs de Ligt conceded a second-half penalty after blocking an Alexis Mac Allister header with his hand.
However, Man Utd have now leapfrogged West Ham United in the Premier League table following their result at Anfield, and Amorim has urged his team to replicate that level of performance in future weeks.

What has Ruben Amorim said?
“I'm trying that [motivation] every day," Amorim told reporters during his post-match press conference.
“I'm trying to push this team every day, sometimes it's maybe not the best way, I am always challenging these players in everything I do because I feel we are, not just the players, but everybody at Manchester United is too comfortable.

“So I think sometimes we need a shock, and you can see today we were a different team. It was not about the system, it was about the way we faced the competition. I think it's a very good sign.”
Amorim continued: “It's really clear, we lost three games in a row at home, some of the games we suffered two goals without doing nothing.
“I am upset today, really upset. I am pleased for the performance but everyone today is going to say to that team that they did a good job. Today I am allowed to be the only guy upset with the team, but today we were a team.”
Man Utd travel to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal in the FA Cup next Sunday, before hosting Southampton in the Premier League on 16 January.
