Premier League winner signs for Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen have completed the signing of Leicester City winger Demarai Gray.
The Bundesliga club announced on Sunday that they have secured the signature of the England wideman on an 18-month contract.
It is reported that Leverkusen have paid Leicester City a fee in the region of €2.5 million.
Gray was available for a nominal fee as his contract was expiring in the summer. He was also linked with a move to Crystal Palace.
The 24-year-old joined Leicester midway through the 2015/16 season from Birmingham and helped the club to their shock Premier League title success that campaign.
He played regularly for the club over the next few seasons but fell out of favour this term – featuring in just 18 minutes of Premier League football.
Gray has now continued the recent trend of Premier League players moving to the Bundesliga in order to progress their careers.
The likes of Jadon Sancho, Reiss Nelson and Ademola Lookman have all enjoyed success over the past seasons.
