Boost for Man Utd as Dortmund reveal transfer agreement with Jadon Sancho
Manchester United have been handed a transfer boost after Borussia Dortmund indicated they would be willing to sell Jadon Sancho in the summer.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed the existence of a “gentleman’s agreement” with Sancho.

The Bundesliga side will allow him to depart “if certain conditions are met”, which was not the case last year when Man Utd came calling but could not meet the financial demands or deadline set by Dortmund.
Zorc stressed the same agreement does not apply to in-demand striker Erling Haaland.
“We already had a gentlemen’s agreement with Jadon last year that he can switch under certain conditions,” Zorc said to ARD.
“He has been with us for a couple of years.
“However, this agreement does not exist with Erling.”
Man Utd were unable to meet Dortmund’s asking price for Sancho last season as a huge transfer saga frustrated supporters.
Zorc added: “In the end, the requirements were not met.”
How much would Sancho cost for Man Utd?
Having had another year of service out of Sancho, who is under contract until 2023, it is reported his Dortmund asking price may have fallen slightly.
Sport1 suggest Sancho could be available for under €100 million (£87m), while last year Man Utd were being asked to pay over €115m (£100m).
Liverpool are also emerging as contenders to sign Sancho, who was a Man City youth product.
There are not many teams outside of the Premier League who can compete with the finances of English clubs.
