REVEALED: Haaland's secret Bayern Munich meeting
It has been reported that Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland has held secret talks with Bayern Munich as speculation about his future continues to rise.
Haaland, 21, joined Dortmund in January 2020 following an electric start to life at RB Salzburg, but the Norway international is believed to be on his way out of the club this summer.
The forward has a release clause in his contract at the Signal Iduna Park believed to be €75 million, which can only be activated in the 2022 summer transfer window.
As a result, clubs from around Europe have begun circling in a bid to convince Haaland to join them.
Manchester City are widely reported to be leading the race, with the Daily Mail revealing that the club and player have agreed to a £500,000 per week contract to lure him to the blue side of Manchester.
After missing out on Harry Kane last summer, Man City signed young Argentine forward Julian Alvarez, but Haaland remains their top priority as they look to bolster the attacking options available to Pep Guardiola.
Could Haaland join Bayern?
While it's believed that Man City are the current favourites to land Haaland, his future isn't yet decided. The player hasn't revealed his opinion on the situation, but is has been reported that Haaland has held discussions with Bayern Munich.

The Bavarian side sealed a 10th consecutive Bundesliga title with victory over Dortmund on Saturday 23 April, and could be on course to snatch yet another player away from BVB.
Haaland was spotted in Munich at the very start of March, but BILD reported at the time that the visit was simply due to injury rehabilitation that Haaland was required to undergo in Munich. The report also detailed that Dortmund were away of the visit, diminishing any claims that Haaland was negotiating a move to Bayern.
But, it has now been reported by the same publication that Haaland stayed in Munich for a few days during the visit and crucially that there was an hour-long meeting between the 21-year-old and Hasan Salihamidžić, Bayern's sporting director.
BILD have reported that Man City are still in the lead to sign the Norwegian, but Bayern remain interested in a move.
These reports come as a contrast to Salihamidžić's recent comments in which he said signing Haaland "doesn't make any sense," due to Robert Lewandowski.
