Serge Gnabry could be leaving Bayern Munich soon as talks over a new contract deal stall with the reigning German champions, and other clubs are paying attention.

According to Bild, Bayern are keen to extend the Germany international’s contract and have offered about €17-19 million-per-year in a take-it-or-leave it deal.

Gnabry’s contract runs out at the end of next season, which means he’ll be allowed to leave the club on a free and if he refuses this contract, it’s likely Bayern would want to sell him this summer for a fee.

As a result, several clubs are keeping an eye on the situation as they wish to bring a top winger to their ranks in what should be a cut-price deal.

According to reports in Spain, there are five clubs interested in signing Gnabry this summer, should the opportunity arise to complete the deal.

Real Madrid, Juventus and the English trio of Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham are the clubs linked with a move for the 26-year-old winger.

All of the five will be able to offer Gnabry a similar or improved contract and will be able to give the German enough game time on the pitch as well.

Out of the English trio, Arsenal would likely be best positioned as Gnabry has previously played for the club and has said it’s the only English club that appeals to him, should he come back to the Premier League.

Liverpool, however, would offer him a chance to compete for the top trophies, and be in a team that would suit his style of football well.

As for Real Madrid, it’s possible they keep Gnabry as an option because of their commitments to improving other positions and players, namely, Kylian Mbappe, who they are hoping to make their marquee signing this year.

This is still a complicated situation, and Bayern will have to make a move fast if they hope to not lose one of their biggest assets for a low price, or even for free next year.
