Ten Hag faces SHOCK Bayern threat over major summer target
Manchester United face an expected challenge from Bayern Munich in the pursuit of Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to BILD,.
Bayern had been expected to make a move for Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez, who was linked with Chelsea last summer, but they have abandoned that track to instead focus on Rabiot, who will be a free agent in the summer.
Thomas Tuchel side are, therefore, direct competition for Man Utd when it comes to the signing of the France international.

After a mediocre season that looks likely to see them miss out on the Bundesliga title to Borussia Dortmund, Bayern are planning a summer makeover. Tuchel, in particular, wants a No.6.
FCB first had Edson Alvarez on their radar, but with Dortmund having a serious interest in the 25-year-old, they have now turned towards Rabiot.

The France star has enjoyed a stellar season with Juventus, having been linked with Man Utd 12 months ago only for his mother and agent Veronique to make demands that were too steep for the tastes of Erik ten Hag’s club. He is believed to earn around €7 million per year at Juventus currently.
Available on a free transfer this summer, it appears that those demands are less onerous for the Red Devils this season, yet the competition from Bayern means a deal is suddenly in the air.
Bayern linked with Alvarez
Bayern are also seeking to bolster their attack, with Manchester City forward Julian Alvarez a target according to the local media.
With 17 goals this season, the 23-year-old attacker has been a resounding success at the Etihad Stadium since joining from River Plate on a full-time basis last summer and it would be surprising if he were allowed to leave, despite tentative assurances over the future of Erling Haaland.
