Bayern Munich are reportedly lining up their latest bid for Harry Kane as they look to seal a deal for the Tottenham striker.

Spurs are believed to have rebuffed offers of £70m (€81.6m) and £80m (€93.3m) from Bayern so far, but the Bundesliga champions don’t appear to have dropped their interest in the England captain – who is still a target for Manchester United.

Tottenham have consistently rejected approaches for their star man in recent years – most notably from Manchester City in 2021 – but Kane is out of contract next summer, meaning the current transfer window might well represent Sputs’ last chance to generate a big transfer fee.

According to the Guardian, Bayern executives are planning to meet with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy next week to discuss a potential move for Kane.

The report adds that the two clubs are in regular conversation with regards to the three-time Premier League Golden Boot winner – who scored a joint career-best 30 goals in the English top flight last season.

Bayern are thought to be readying a €100m (£85.6m) bid for Kane this time around, although Spurs are said to be holding out for £100m (€116.5m).

Spurs want swift solution to Kane uncertainty

Kane has been involved in pre-season for Tottenham, and head coach Ange Postecoglou wants the situation resolved as soon as possible. Speaking to reports last week, he said:

“I think, for everyone concerned, we don’t want to be doing it for too long. I don’t think that is good for anyone. I don’t think it is good for Harry [and] I don’t think it is good for the club, because as laser-focused as we want to be, you end up repeating yourself along the way.”
