Harry Kane will complete his transfer to Bayern Munich from Tottenham, with Thomas Muller confirming the arrival of the England international captain in bizarre style on Instagram.

Although overshadowed by the Moises Caicedo transfer saga, Kane’s switch to the Bundesliga champions has not been without its drama as the striker’s permission to fly to Germany to sign a deal was revoked by Spurs at the last moment.

Any issues, though, appear to have ironed themselves out, and Muller has welcomed Bayern’s new arrival in typically kooky style.

“What a blockbuster transfer for our Bayern Munich,” he wrote beside an image of himself in aviators with a dog lead round his neck.

“A warm welcome to Harry Kane at this point.

“That's why I'm also all about nuts in the sense of a healthy diet today. Especially about the peanut (pun intended).

“The pecan provides me with plenty of unsaturated fatty acids, proteins, fibre and many vitamins. After walking the dog in the morning, I always start the day with a handful of nuts. Pecan is a regular part of my nut selection.

“Maybe this can be good inspiration for some of you to start the weekend.”

When will Harry Kane make his Bayern Munich debut?

Kane’s contract signing has been confirmed by more traditional media sources, with Sky Sports indicating that the deal to take the striker to Bayern Munich has been confirmed.

The player himself then took to social media to make the deal official.

"Hard to put into words how to say goodbye to a club and fans who have done so much for me in my career. You will always be in my heart. Thank you Tottenham, thank you Tottenham fans.," Kane tweeted along with an emotional goodbye to Tottenham.

If Kane is registered before 15:00 CET, he could feature in tonight's DFB Supercup against RB Leipzig. If not, he will likely debut on Friday against Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga opener.

Kane will leave Tottenham having scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for the club, including at least 17 Premier Leage goals in nine successive seasons.
