Bruno Fernandes got one back right into the final seconds of the match, but it did not count for anything.
In any case, Tel had spoken to L’Equipe ahead of the match, touching on the arrival of Harry Kane and his aspirations for the future.
Kane joined Bayern for €100m plus €10m bonuses in transfer fees. And Tel says that he is not concerned about fighting for his place.
Tel happy with Kane arrival
When asked if he was worried about Kane arriving, Tel said: “No, no, I always start from the principle that we all have two arms, two legs. It's true that he has a certain status, I've just started, and I'm in the process of creating mine. But I am ambitious, I am determined.
"I was very happy with his arrival, he is a top striker in the world. When I was younger, I used to play with him on FIFA! His mentality is impressive. He is calm, he is sure of himself.
He was then asked if he can eventually be Bayern’s No.9. "Of course not, but that's what I want, and I will use everything to get there. Even if it means bleeding, suffering, spitting, crying! It's a dream for me.”
And Tel touched on his relationship with Thomas Tuchel.
“It's very motivating. If he says it, it's because there are things missing. When I heard that, I went back to work. Finishing, technique. The land is the answer.
“I gave myself 15 goals and five assists, it's very ambitious. But I am competitive. If I can't do it, it's because I didn't do the right thing.”
