Five players who could join Bayern Munich this summer
Bayern Munich are in the midst of an intriguing summer with the Bundesliga side coming off the back of their worst domestic season in 12 years.
The German giants missed out on the Bundesliga title for the first time since 2012 after an underwhelming campaign under Thomas Tuchel, which saw him leave his post after the season's conclusion.
With Bayern bringing in Vincent Kompany as head coach and dealing with the humiliation of being ousted as the top side in Germany, it has been a busy transfer window for the Bavarians, with Michael Olise, Joao Palhinha and Hiroki Ito joining for north of €100 million.

FootballTransfers takes a look at five players who could make the move to the Allianz Arena this summer.
Theo Hernandez (Milan)
One of the biggest agendas this summer for Bayern has been the future of Alphonso Davies. The left-back could still leave after so far resisting the club’s efforts to sign a new contract.
With just one year remaining on his contract and significant interest from Real Madrid, Bayern are reportedly accepting the idea that Davies will leave and have already started considering his replacements.
Bayern’s top target is thought to be Theo Hernandez, although Milan are expected to demand a significant fee for the French international.
Jeremie Frimpong (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bayern had hoped to lure Xabi Alonso to Munich as the successor to Tuchel, however, the Leverkusen boss committed his future to the champions and dashed the hopes of his rivals in the process.
However, Bayern are still hoping to take one of Leverkusen’s crown jewels this summer and, while perhaps the long-term dream is playmaker Florian Wirtz, the 20-year-old has insisted he has no desire to leave his side.
Instead, Bayern could move for Jeremie Frimpong as a long-term solution to their right-back issues, with the Dutchman said to be open to a transfer after a prolific season for Leverkusen.
Desire Doue (Stade Rennais)
Despite the signing of Michael Olise, Bayen are still looking for another attacker and Stade Rennais wonderkid Desire Doue has become their top target following Xavi Simons' decision to return to RB Leipzig.
Bayern have tabled a massive offer, said to be in the region of €55m, for the 19-year-old winger, but now the ball is in Doue's court, with PSG having at least matched and likely exceeded the Bavarians' bid.
Chris Fuhrich (Stuttgart)
Stuttgart proved to be a surprise package in the Bundesliga last season, finishing above Bayern in second, largely in part due to players such as Chris Fuhrich.
The winger was instrumental for Sebastian Hoeness’ side, earning him a first call-up to the German national team and attracting the attention of teams such as Bayern.
Fuhrich is understood to have a release clause worth €23.5m in his contract and the appealing price tag combined with his ability to offer competition to the likes of Leroy Sane has made him a target for Bayern.
Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bayern's top defensive target and the most likely transfer on this list, according to German media, Jonathan Tah is keen to trade Leverkusen for Munich this summer.
Personal terms have been in place for weeks, but the transfer has still not materialised due to Bayern's inability to offload Matthijs de Ligt combined with Leverkusen's significant demands. Despite this, a deal is expected to materialise eventually.
