Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko 'is the complete striker' says RB Leipzig chief
RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko is the “complete striker,” according to the club’s Managing Director for Sport Marcel Schafer.
Sesko, 21, joined the Bundesliga side last summer and he signed a contract extension with the club in June, snubbing significant interest from Arsenal in the process.
The Slovenia international had been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium for several months, but he decided against joining Mikel Arteta’s side in favour of extending his stay at Leipzig.

The 21-year-old struggled during his first six months in Germany, however he scored in each of the final seven Bundesliga games last campaign and he has already netted five times for club and country so far this season.
Sesko’s new deal at Leipzig now runs until 2029 and Schafer believes he is at the right club to develop.

Marcel Schafer on Benjamin Sesko
When asked what makes the Slovenia forward so special, Schafer told FootballTransfers: “In my opinion, he’s a complete striker. He’s tall, he’s quick, he’s good in the air, and he’s good at shooting with his left and right foot.”
However, the RB Leipzig chief believes Sesko can still improve as a player.
“We need to work a little bit on his first touch because if you want to be at the top, top, top, top and achieve the next level in every competition, the first touch, in my opinion, is really important,” he admitted.
“If you have a good first touch that gives you space and that gives you time. And if you achieve one more level, that's something that you don't have. You don't have space and you don't have time.
“So that's something where there is definitely space for potential, even though for me, he has everything that a top, top, top striker in the world needs.
“He has a good mindset, but he needs to keep it, and he especially needs to keep his hunger. He needs to keep his focus, to work very hard, and focus on his health, on his body and everything else.
“He has everything and we want to help him to achieve his potential.”
