Five players who could join Bayern Munich this summer

Bayern Munich boast the largest financial backing in the Bundesliga and they are expected to bolster their first-team squad with a number of high-profile signings this year.
Vincent Kompany oversaw the arrivals of Michael Olise and Joao Palhinha, among others, last summer, and he is set to be backed in the market yet again in 2025.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through five players who could join Bayern Munich this summer.

Florian Wirtz (Bayer Leverkusen)
Bayern Munich have typically poached the best players from across the Bundesliga in recent years, and Florian Wirtz could become the latest to join this lengthy list.
The Germany international has developed into one of the world’s best players over the past few years and he is viewed as a key transfer target by the Bayern hierarchy.
However, Wirtz could opt to remain at Leverkusen for another season, while Manchester City and Real Madrid are both eager to rival Bayern for his signature.

Bart Verbruggen (Brighton)
Manuel Neuer is now 39 years old and although he signed a new one-year contract in February, Bayern will need to sign a replacement shortly.
Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen has reportedly been identified as a potential option by the Bavarian giants and they could lodge a full-blown pursuit ahead of the 2025-26 campaign.
The Dutchman has impressed since his move to the AMEX Stadium in 2023 and he crucially worked with Bayern boss Vincent Kompany during their time together at Anderlecht.
Christopher Nkunku (Chelsea)
Christopher Nkunku was seen as a player capable of taking Chelsea to the next level upon his arrival in 2023, but injuries and poor form have resulted in a fairly underwhelming spell at Stamford Bridge.
Nkunku is behind both Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson in the pecking order under Enzo Maresca, and Bayern could rekindle their interest in the forward after failing to reach an agreement during the January transfer window.
Bayern wanted to sign the France star before his move to Chelsea in 2023 and they could finally land him this summer amid his struggles in west London.
Jonathan Tah (Bayer Leverkusen)
Jonathan Tah was expected to join Bayern last summer, but the deal collapsed after Kompany’s side refused to match Bayer Leverkusen’s asking price.
Tah is now set to move clubs this year, however, as his current deal with Leverkusen will expire in July.
Bayern may opt to pursue a Bosman deal amid the imminent exit of Eric Dier, although Barcelona are also interested in Tah and could rival the Bavarians for his signature.

Tom Bischof (Hoffenheim)
Bayern have already finalised an agreement to sign Hoffenheim midfielder Tom Bischof this summer, so his move to the Allianz Arena has been confirmed.
He will arrive in Bavaria on a free transfer following the expiration of his Hoffenheim contract and he has signed a four-year deal with the Bundesliga giants.
The talented midfielder has been tipped to leave Bayern on loan for the 2025-26 season, although reports indicate that he could play a role in the first-team during his debut campaign.
