Aguero sends message of thanks after heart scare
Sergio Aguero has sent a thank you message to all the well-wishers following his health scare over the weekend.
Aguero was forced off during Barcelona’s 1-1 draw with Alaves on Saturday shortly before half-time after suffering breathing difficulties.
After being taken to hospital, Aguero was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat that will now cause him to miss the next three months of the season.
Aguero has since been sent tens of thousands of messages from fans, players and former teammates, including ex-Manchester City colleague Raheem Sterling and Real Madrid’s Luka Modric.
The 33-year-old posted a message on social media on Tuesday thanking everyone for their support.
What did Aguero say?
“I am fine and in good spirits to take on the process of recuperation. I want to thank everyone for all their messages of support and love that made my heart stronger today,” Aguero said.

This setback is not only a bitter blow for the player but also for Barcelona, who are enduring a crisis right now.
Big hopes had been pinned on the striker when he arrived as a free agent in the summer from Manchester City, but he missed the first two months of the season with a calf injury.
Since returning to action on 17 October with a brief cameo appearance against Valencia, he has played five times and scored one goal - against Real Madrid in a 2-1 Clasico loss.
