What did Dani Alves say about Barcelona return?

"Hello Cules, I'm already here in Barcelona," he said in a video on social media.

"I am with you again and I'm very happy to return home, I hope to see you soon. I want to be able to enjoy and rebuild the Barcelona that we loved so much."

Dani Alves can't officially play for the club until he is registered as a new signing in the January transfer window.

However, he has already begun training with the first team since Monday and he will be officially presented on Wednesday.

And the Brazil legend will wear the number eight shirt on his back during his second spell at the club.

He previously wore the numbers 20, 2, 22 and six on his jersey in his first stint.

Dani Alves originally joined Barcelona in 2008 from Sevilla and went on to spend eight glorious years in Catalunya.

He made 391 appearances in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and winning every major club honour in the game.

The right back won six La Liga title and three Champions Leagues among the plethora of trophies before leaving to join Juventus in 2016.

He will now be hoping to take Barcelona back to these glory days after the club has experienced a miserable last few years.

The Blaugrana are currently languishing in mid table and risk not even qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
