The Blaugrana are in a terrible financial state and have been ordered by La Liga to slash their salary budget in order to meet new regulations.

At the moment, new signings Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia, Memphis Depay and Emerson Royal have not yet been registered and won't be until the wage bill is reduced.

Crucially, they will also not be able to bring back Lionel Messi until this happens, despite the Argentine agreeing a new five-year deal.

With the new season approaching, they now have to focus on matters on the pitch as pre-season friendlies come thick and fast.
