Mbappe: I choked when I heard PSG's transfer stance

Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has admitted that he was “scared” by the attitude of president Nasser Al-Khelaifi as he tried to transfer to Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe says that he told PSG that he wanted to leave the club at the end of July in a bid to force through a deal with the Bernabeu side.
The Ligue 1 outfit, though, ignored the approaches of Real Madrid, which were reportedly up to a value of €200 million.

Meanwhile, Mbappe says it was a previous comment by Al-Khelaifi that gave him the fear.
Speaking in early June, the PSG president told L’Equipe: “I’ll be clear, Kylian is going to stay with PSG. We’re never going to sell him and he’ll never leave for free.”
Mbappe did not appreciate these words.

Mbappe’s future
The future of Mbappe has been a hot topic of conversation for months, largely because of PSG’s failure to extend a contract that ends in 2022. At this point, the player will become a free agent.
Mbappe, meanwhile, has largely kept his cards close to his chest with regards his plans until this point.
It is now evident just how stacked the odds are against him signing a new contract with PSG.
Of course, this is excellent news for Real Madrid, who want to sign both Mbappe and Erling Haaland next summer.
