Kylian Mbappe is one of the best players in the world and, along with Erling Haaland, is expected to become the next global superstar of the game when Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo hang up their boots.
The Frenchman has already achieved so much in his young career, winning Ligue 1 with Monaco, multiple trophies with Paris Saint-Germain and of course the World Cup with France.
Mbappe is already the second-most expensive player in the history of football, having joined PSG from Monaco for a huge fee of €145 million.
Even before that move transpired, the player was strongly linked with Real Madrid and those rumours have continued even during his time in the French capital.

Mbappe is a self-confessed Real Madrid fan and has spoken previously about a desire to one day feature for Los Blancos in order to emulate his hero, the aforementioned Ronaldo.

It is now perhaps the worst kept secret in football that Mbappe intends to leave PSG for Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer of 2022.
PSG are desperate to keep hold of Mbappe and have continually attempted to get him to renew, not only to retain a wonderful player but to avoid losing one for free considering their massive outlay to purchase him from Monaco.
As of 1 January, Mbappe is free to talk to other clubs about a free transfer.

Mbappe's talents mean that every bid side in the world would obviously love to have him in their squad.

Madrid are so desperate to sign Mbappe that they even bid €200m for the forward in deadline day in the summer - even though they were perfectly aware he would be available for nothing only a year later.
The Spanish giants have had to wait for their man, but they'll get him in July.

Mbappe has said himself he will not be leaving PSG in January.
Speaking to CNN, the French superstar admitted: "No, I'm not joining Real Madrid in January. In January it's not happening."

It is looking inevitable that Mbappe will leave for Real Madrid in the summer. He has cut a frustrated figure at PSG, but will likely have one more crack at winning the Champions League in 2021/22 before making the big switch to Spain.
