Suarez to leave Atletico and join Messi?
Luis Suarez is ready to leave Atletico Madrid and is keen to link up with former Barcelona team-mate Lionel Messi again before they retire, according to reports in Spain.
Suarez, who has scored seven league goals for Atletico this season, has reportedly become dissatisfied by Diego Simeone's strategies, and is keen to leave the Spanish capital.
The former Ajax, Liverpool and Barcelona striker will be out of contract in the summer, when his Atleti deal expires, and is already seeking new opportunities.
According to El Nacional, he is ready for a new challenge with Inter Miami in the MLS. Inter Miami are owned by Manchester United legend David Beckham, and Suarez sees the project, and the idea of living in the United States of America, as an attractive proposition.
Not only is Suarez keen on joining Inter Miami, but reports from El Nacional suggest that he's hopeful that Messi will join him in the States.
Beckham has the ability to fund Suarez's wages, and the Uruguay international believes that Messi would be open to the idea of leaving Paris Saint-Germain in order to rekindle their partnership.
Suarez and Messi played together from 2014 to 2020, and enjoyed plenty of success together. They won 13 trophies together at the Camp Nou, and alongside Neymar, formed the famous MSN trio.
Messi only joined PSG last summer, but after scoring only once in Ligue 1, Suarez reportedly believes he can be persuaded to end his European adventure.
The report from El Nacional already states that Suarez has informed his agent and his family that he won't be signing an extension at Atletico. After winning La Liga in his first season at the Wanda Metropolitano, Atletico have fallen outside the top four at the start of this campaign, and Suarez is understood to have fulfilled his footballing wishes in Spain.
