Barcelona will continue their squad revamp this summer, with the club hoping to secure free transfer deals for the likes of Franck Kessie, Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen.

There is also the small matter of Erling Haaland and how the Catalan side looking to put together a package to tempt the Norwegian to Camp Nou.

FootballTransfers reported this week that the combined outlay on transfer fee and wages on Haaland could be as much as €310 million.

In order to partly fund their summer business, Barcelona are looking to offload a number of fringe players.

According to FootMercato, there are three players whose departures are being prioritised.

Sergino Dest

The Catalan giants signed Sergino Dest from Ajax for a fee believed to be in the region of €21m plus €5m in add-ons in the summer of 2020.

He would flourish on occasion under Ronald Koeman, particularly as a wing-back in the Dutchman's 3-4-3 formation whenever it was deployed.

However, over the last year he has regressed and in 2021/22 has received negative responses to his performances both offensively and defensively.

Previously the first choice right-back, Dest had to suffer the ignominy of losing his place to the 38-year-old returning Dani Alves.

Xavi has praised Dest recently, but with Barca actively attempting to sign a new right-back, his time appears to be up. Monaco are interested.

Philippe Coutinho

Philippe Coutinho joined Barcelona for a club record £146m from Liverpool in January 2018, but was loaned out to Bayern Munich for the 2019/20 season after struggling to make the desired impact at Barcelona.

He also made less than 700 minutes in La Liga last season, scoring twice, so a transfer away could be on the cards.

Coutinho joined Aston Villa in the most recent January transfer window and manager Steven Gerrard has confirmed that the Premier League side want to sign him permanently.

Barca are absolutely desperate to get rid of him and will be open to reasonable offers in the summer.

Clement Lenglet

Clement Lenglet's injury problems have been frequent this season as he has made just four starts in La Liga.

He has never been a supremely popular figure at the club, mainly due to questions over his quality.

It goes to show the lack of trust that Xavi has in Lenglet that numerous central defenders are being targeted this summer.

That is when Barca already have Gerard Pique, Ronald Araujo, Eric Garcia and Oscar Mingueza.

Lenglet will leave, it is just a matter of the destination.
