Barcelona are desperate to add a new world-class centre-forward to their ranks this summer, with Robert Lewandowski near the top of their wishlist.

FootballTransfers previously revealed that the Catalan side have turned their attentions to the prolific Bayern forward after allegedly pulling out of the race to sign Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland.

Lewandowski's contract at Bayern expires in 2023 and so far there has been little progress over a new contract.

The Spanish giants have been given a boost by the report from Spanish outlet Sport that Lewandowski wants to move to La Liga.

It is alleged that Lewandowski believes he has achieved everything that he can at Bayern, winning multiple Bundesliga titles as well as the Champions League and Club World Cup.

He has previously spoken of a desire to move to another country and experience another language and culture.

Sport reports that Barcelona value Lewandowski at around €50 million, but that they would be willing to pay €60m to sign the player this summer at a maximum.
