10 players who could transfer to Barcelona this summer
Barcelona had a busy winter transfer window, having made four signings in Ferran Torres, Dani Alves, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Adama Traore.
The results have been positive since, with the club rising to second in the table, behind Real Madrid.
They will be looking to improve on that, and that will mean a busy summer, with several players already lined up to join Xavi’s side.
So, who could move to the Camp Nou this summer?
What goalkeepers could transfer to Barcelona this summer?
Barcelona currently have two senior goalkeepers in Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Neto, and it seems unlikely they will add another.
Considering their financial situation, it doesn’t seem like a position of priority, and the impressive form of academy players Arnau Tenas and Inaki Pena means they will look to promote them in the coming years.
What defenders could transfer to Barcelona this summer?
Barcelona need to add more depth to their back-line and Chelsea’s Andreas Christensen looks set to join them ahead of next season.
Chelsea’s own off-pitch troubles combined with Christensen’s contract running out mean that this should be a probable transfer and also be convenient with regards to Barcelona’s financial situation.
Club President Joan Laporta said last month that the club had already completed two signings ahead of next season, and Christensen is believed to be one of the players.
Last month, Borussia Dortmund’s Thomas Meunier revealed that Barcelona were interested in acquiring the Belgian full-back in a temporary loan deal, but any move was shut down by the German club.
It’s believed that Barcelona will re-ignite their interest this summer, should moves for any of their primary targets not work out.
The former Paris Saint-Germain right-back has been at Dortmund since 2020 and has a contract until 2024.
Barcelona have a strong Ajax connection and that could further be strengthened this summer should they complete a deal for another out-of-contract player in Noussair Mazraoui.
Ajax have failed to come to terms with the Moroccan right-back and he looks set to leave on a free transfer, but Barcelona face stiff competition from German champions Bayern Munich, who are also looking to add to their depth.
The Catalans have other options for the same position, but at the same time, will be hoping their good relations with agent Mino Raiola come handy should they require it.
Bayern have been working on both Noussair Mazraoui and Ryan Gravenberch with Mino Raiola for weeks - kind of ‘two players package’ deal. Talks still ongoing. 🔴 #FCBayern

Another Ajax player linked with Barcelona, Nicholas Tagliafico could also be on his way out having seen his chances limited at the Dutch giants over the course of this season.
Barcelona were keen to add an experienced left-back to the side to accompany Jordi Alba, and made an offer for a loan move in January, but that was rejected by Ajax.
Tagliafico himself expressed his disappointment over the failed move, but the club may try their chances again this summer.
What midfielders could transfer to Barcelona this summer?
Milan’s Franck Kessie is believed to be the second player that Laporta said a deal was done for ahead of next season, and he would be a shrewd signing.
The Ivorian is out of contract at the end of the season, and would be of financial convenience, and his performances suggest he would add value to this Barcelona side.
Although Barcelona are well-stacked in this position with the likes of Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets as well as the emerging Nico and Gavi, the addition of Kessie would be useful.
Kenan Yildiz
One of the lesser-known players on this list, Barcelona are interested in bringing in 16-year-old Kenan Yildiz from Bayern Munich to improve their impressive youth ranks.
Having promoted the likes of Ansu Fati, Ronald Araujo, Nico and Gavi to the first team over the last few years, this would certainly make an appealing offer for the teenager.
It is believed that should he be signed, Yildiz would start of with Barcelona’s B team before potentially making his way to the first team.
What forwards could transfer to Barcelona this summer?
This is a signing that may only be completed should Barcelona fail in their pursuit of extending Ousmane Dembele’s contract, and it isn’t a bad option.
Raphinha has been Leeds United’s stand-out performer over the last two seasons, and adding him to an exciting Barcelona team would be a sensible move.
The club may be priced out of a move, however, with Leeds reportedly demanding his full clause of €75 million be paid if a transfer is to happen.
Robert Lewandowski
Bayern forward Robert Lewandowski has been linked with a move away from the Bavarians and to Barcelona for several weeks now, with a transfer reportedly on the cards.
Sport have reported that he wants to call it a day on his time at the Allianz Arena and is keen on a move to Xavi's Barcelona.
A move would require an alteration in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's role at the club, but the Blaugrana remain interested in adding a forward.
According to Bild, Lewandowski wasn't happy with Bayern's pursuit of Erling Haaland before Manchester City sealed a deal, and hence sees his future elsewhere. Barcelona could provide him with an escape from Bayern this summer.
Barca president Laporta mentioned earlier in the season that Barcelona were interested in brining in Joao Felix last summer when Antoine Griezmann went to Atletico Madrid, but a move didn’t work out.
That interest could be re-ignited this summer, and will be hoping for some help from agent Jorge Mendes, who the club have good relations with.
It is believed that Barcelona will make a move should Atletico Madrid fail to qualify for the Champions League for next season.
