It’s common to see young, talented footballers emerging from Brazil and immediately getting plenty of attention on them from top European clubs, and Endrick may be the next one in that category.

The 15-year-old Palmeiras forward has long been on the radar of some of Spanish football’s biggest clubs including Barcelona and Real Madrid, and he could be one to make a move in the coming years.

Recent performances and his record as a youngster has also justified why he is so highly touted, and why clubs will want to be quick to snap him up when the opportunity arises.

As a youngster, Endrick has scored 173 goals in 179 matches across various youth age groups and tournaments – a record which invited several scouts the world over to keep an eye on him.

Recently, he has shown his qualities in the U17 Copa do Brazil, as his Palmeiras team defeated Atletico Mineiro 5-0 in the first leg of the quarter-finals.

In addition to that, Endrick has already participated in tournaments above his age group, taking part in the U20 Paulista tournament, showing why he’s so highly rated.

What is Endrick's release clause?

Endrick turns 16-years-old this July, and he can sign a professional contract with Palmeiras then – he is expected to sign on until 2025 then, until the age of 19.

That would mean his release clause would rise massively – it would go from €18 million to €60m, a figure that would be difficult to match for many interested clubs.

Earlier this year, Endrick was already invited to visit some of Europe’s top clubs including tours at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu and Barcelona’s Camp Nou, in a bid to entice the teenager to join them.

According to sources, Real Madrid have already made it clear they won’t pay more than €45m – the same sum they paid for Vinicius Jr. back in 2018, but Palmeiras don’t want to reduce their asking price.

As of now, the player has been advised to keep his feet on the ground and allow himself to continue growing as a footballer in the coming years.
