Ronaldo wants to sign Dani Alves and Marcelo
Brazilian legend Ronaldo wants to sign his compatriots Dani Alves and Marcelo for Real Vallodolid, according to UOL Esporte.
The ex-Real Madrid, Barcelona, Inter and Brazil superstar is currently the president of Spanish side Vallodolid.
Vallodolid have just been promoted to La Liga after finishing second in the Segunda Division in 2021-22.
Ronaldo is looking to sign some experienced stars to not only help them preserve their La Liga status next season but also to raise the profile of the club.
The salaries of the two veterans will not be a problem, although Vallodolid will face competition for their signatures.
The 34-year-old Marcelo will leave Madrid at the end of the month on a free transfer after 15-and-a-half years at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Marcelo had wanted to stay at Madrid for another season but the club decided against renewing his contract, which expires on June 30.
AC Milan are also reported to be interested in signing Marcelo.

As for Dani Alves, he is also available on a free transfer.
The 39-year-old made a shock return to Camp Nou in November, having been a free agent following the rescission of his contract at Sao Paulo.
He became the first signing of the new Xavi era, penning a deal until the end of the season.
According to reports in Spain, Dani Alves was only paid €1 a month to play for the Blaugrana in a bid to help the club through their much-publicised financial crisis.
However, despite his low wage, Barcelona decided against handing the Brazilian a new contract.
Dani Alves is also wanted by Flamengo, with the player keen to earn regular playing time ahead of the World Cup in November.
Between them, Dani Alves and Marcelo have 182 caps for Brazil and a host of trophies, including eight Champions League titles.
