Robert Lewandowski is days away from completing his transfer to Barcelona from Bayern Munich.
The Catalan side may be mired in debt, despite selling off key assets to raise funds, but they are nevertheless embarking on an ambitious recruitment drive.
Raphinha is expected to arrive from Leeds United and Ousmane Dembele is set to sign a new contract – and now Lewandowski is set to join as their marquee transfer of the summer window.
Indeed, according to AZ, the deal is expected to take place "this week". Barcelona are ready to meet Bayern Munich’s €50 million asking price in terms of an initial fee, but there will also be bonus payments made on top of that. It is even suggested that Wednesday could be Lewandowski’s final training session for FCB.
