Former Barcelona star Dani Alves offered shock move
Dani Alves has an interesting offer to continue the next stage of his career, and it’s something that he’s tempted by as he looks for his future club.
The Brazilian left Barcelona last month following the expiry of his contract, having made his return in January, and he had a considerable impact.
At the age of 39, he provided a goal and four assists in his 17 appearances in the second half of the season, and was important to Xavi in some big moments.
However, due to the club’s difficult financial condition, his contract was not renewed and he was asked to find a new club following the expiry of his deal.
Now, though, he has an offer from Mexican club Pumas, which he is evaluating, and it’s something that he is believed to be interested in.
Alves could make decision soon
The club feel that Alves would be tempted too, as he understands that the Mexican league is at a good, competitive level, and something he would want to be a part of.
Pumas have offered Alves a deal until the summer of 2023, and that would mean he plays until he is 40-years-old – a fine feat for him.
📆 OTD in 2008, Barcelona signed Dani Alves for a fee of up to €30m 💰

Alves wants to play at a high level so that he can prove he’s ready to be a part of the Brazil’s World Cup squad travelling to Qatar this year in what will certainly be his last chance to win football’s biggest prize.
The right-back is also evaluating other offers he has, and could make his decision as early as Sunday, so that he can prepare for the new season accordingly.
Should Alves choose to move to Pumas, he could be back in Barcelona almost immediately, as they face the Blaugrana in Catalonia in the Joan Gamper Trophy – the club’s pre-season competition – on 7 August.
