Germany international Leroy Sane has reportedly been offered to Real Madrid by his representatives.

Sane, 26, joined Bayern Munich from Manchester City in 2020 and has already won five trophies during his time in Bavaria so far.

However, Marca and DefensaCentral have reported that his representatives have offered his services to Real Madrid this summer.

Los Blancos missed out on long-term target Kylian Mbappe after the France international opted to renew his Paris Saint-Germain contract instead of joining Real Madrid on a free transfer this window.

Since that news, talk of Real Madrid signing an alternative forward has been limited. Both Serge Gnabry and Rafael Leao have been tentatively linked, but reports from Spain now suggest that Sane could be the man they pursue.

Sane and former Real Madrid forward Luka Jovic are both represented by LIAN Sports Group, and according to Marca, during negotiations regarding Jovic's move to Fiorentina, the Germany international was offered to Los Blancos.

This news was first reported by DefensaCentral's Aleix Genero, and was reportedly confirmed to Marca by the Bayern Munich forward's entourage.

However, it's been reported that Real Madrid are currently focused on offloading players this summer. Jovic, as mentioned, has already left, along with Gareth Bale and Victor Chust. Marcelo and Isco have become a free agent, while Marco Asensio is also expected to leave.

Would Sane fit in at Real Madrid?

Sane has featured on the right for Bayern Munich, but it's become evident over the past few seasons that he operates far better on the left flank.

While it's now unusual to see a winger play on the side of their strong-foot, Sane is an exception to the norm, and is a far more dangerous threat on the left wing.

This would cause a problem for Real Madrid as that's where Vinicius Jr fits into the starting XI. The Brazilian enjoyed a coming-of-age season in 2021-22, and it's unlikely that Carlo Ancelotti will move him from his favoured flank to accommodate Sane.
