Real Madrid’s plans for the rest of the 2022 transfer window revealed
Real Madrid have already had an eventful summer transfer window, but with six weeks remaining before it shuts, how are the Bernabeu side set to act?
While many of the major clubs around Europe have been scrambling to sign players, everything appears to be rather serene in the Spanish capital. This despite missing out on the signing of Kylian Mbappe from PSG in what was a dramatic and unexpected turn of events in May.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side moved quickly to put that disappointment behind them by landing Monaco and France midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni in one of the biggest deals of all time. Antonio Rudiger soon followed on a free transfer from Chelsea in a deal that had long been mooted.
Since then, though, there has been nothing coming from the club, with little sign of any big arrivals or any big departures.
That does not mean, though, that Real Madrid have not been working hard this summer. Instead, fans of Los Blancos should actually take it as a positive sign, as CBS reporter Ben Jacobs explained when he discussed the club’s possible forthcoming transfer activity with FootballTransfers.

“Real’s strategy at the moment is to be thinking about: ‘Let’s not get in a position where Karim Benzema gets one season beyond his peak or Luka Modric gets one season beyond his peak and so on,’” he said.
“Who are the type of youngsters who can either be bought or loaned back? Or who can be mentored if they are at the club? And in three or four years’ time, then they come onto the main stage.”
