Mbappe will leave PSG at the end of his contract in June, with a switch to Los Blancos seen as inevitable.

Speaking at the unveiling of a waxwork in his honour at Madame Tussauds in Berlin on Thursday, the attacker, who has scored 256 goals in 307 games over his seven years with PSG, left Real Madrid supporters “dazzled” thanks to his enthusiasm, according to AS.

Nevertheless, he confirmed that he will be leaving France and revealed what he will miss the most.

“I already think it will be the food,” Mbappe admitted to Quotidien. “I think everyone who leaves France says this.

“After that, I think that the things I do normally, my family, those who are close to me, that’s something I’m going to miss.

“But as I said, I’ll lose a lot but I’ll discover other things. It’s one part of my life that will close and another that will open and it’s going to be super exciting, that’s for sure.”

Two targets for Mbappe in Madrid

On a personal basis, AS has outlined the two targets that Mbappe has at Real Madrid, goals that he has never achieved previously.

It is stated that the Ballon d’Or will come into his focus while with Los Blancos, with the Paris-native never having come higher than third in the competition previously.

Meanwhile, Mbappe will also target the Golden Shoe. He currently lies second in the 2023/24 edition but is a mammoth nine strikes behind Harry Kane of Bayern Munich.

It is suggested, however, that Real Madrid’s offensive arsenal will give him a very realistic prospect of winning this coveted prize next year.

Los Blancos are expected to announce Mbappe's arrival after the Champions League final on 1 June.
